Sonata. Fucking. Arctica!: Part Deux

So, For those of you who don't know, The show I posted about before had gotten cancelled on account of Tony (Singer) being hospitalized with swollen throat, fever, etc... Things were looking bleak, the 2 hours or so spent in the car going home didnt take any sting out either. But yesterday Jess came running into my room yelling that they were playing in Bedford that night 9We thought it would be cancelled and gave up hope) So I went to the RMV to get my new permit (18+ Show) and we were on our way. I saw all of the band members atleast 20 times pre-show just hanging out, Pretty weird feeling standing like 10 feet away from one of your idols when they arent on stage. So the show got on. There were about 7 bands other than Sonata. 2 of them rocked my fucking socks: My Pet Demon and 3 Headed Monster. And I bought a demo from the very first band since they sounded decent and they got cut short. Im listening to it now, Melodic Death Metal, Very good quality. They are out of Salem Mass so I might go see them again if they open for any other decent bands. Anyways... On to SONATA. Umm... I was so fucking close to them, I could almost touch them. Not only is the above title all I've been playing this week (O rly?) but Also my thoughts just this momment. I couldn't possibly think how this week could get any better this morning. Then I was given the answer at about noon. Jess came home and asked me if I wanted to go see SONATA FUCKING ARCTICA! Totally out of left field, Im leaving in a few to go see them in Connecticut! Oh and the opening acts arent crappy hardcore bands! One of them acctually has a keyboardist and the other sounds alot like Opeth and Cradle of Filth :D

So this week is EXACTLY what I needed thus far. I have been much more comfortable in every way possible. A week away from everything is a perfect remedy for the underthinking mind.

I've loved being around the house as of late, my family rocks so that would probably be why. I just enjoy being with them. As well as my friends, They're kinda great (Elizabethtown joke, For the whole 2 people who ever saw the movie :P) But seriously. Thank god for my family and friends, oh and good tunes. Ya, If you're interested in a band that has a taste of Incubus, Stevie Wonder, Bob Marley, and pretty much awesomeness in a bottle, Take a look at Trebek. They are a local band and Talia's brother is their keyboardist. They are excelent and I highly recomend them. (http://www.myspace.com/trebek) Check them out! :D

So Vday has gone and past and no valentine to really speak of I guess, But Icould really care less, Although I guess today was kind of my epiphany day, I kind of realized that I had more confidence than I gave myself credit for. That's a good thing. Also I am starting to rotate through my music way to quickly. Mood swings? Lately it was Techno into 80's Power Ballads into Jack Johnson into Pantera into Daft Punk. Not sure what this says about me, Other than I have way to broad of a liking for music. Ah well.

Last night was fun, Although I'm starting to be worn down by the lack of time I have to myself afterschool, But I guess Im getting used to using the few hours right after to my advantage (Sleep and doing the occasional homework)

Oh and I am really going to college... I think. I got my SAT scores back and I have a meeting with Curry to get her to help me with applying but Im sure alot of deadlines have passed so I may be taking a simester off :P Oh well, I plan on going to either MCLA, Western New England, or Fitchburg State and then hopefully if I do well enough, transfering to Emerson :D But that's just a dream :P So ya, I gatta go get my teef looked at soon so I'll be going. and remember kids... So today was a bit of an odd one. I am taking to my new schedual pretty well since it is very low stress. I sat through pretty much all of my classes kinda blank since I have no TV pieces to work on yet but Im trying to brainstorm some stuff, Any ideas are appreciated. Pretty much got throw off my track in 6th and am now a bit worried about someone, Here's hoping, I think Im ganna take a nap and listen to some Dream Theater and hopefully my mind will be at ease again

Last night was unbelievable.

Went to the palladium to see Sonata Arctica with My cousin her boyfriend and their friends who are all awesome. We got there a little past 8 and no one had played yet. This soon changed...

Unfortunatly the first band came on, They were some Hardcore band who couldnt play their instruments. They had friends in the crowd trying to mosh but they were prancing around and just throuwing limbs. All the Sonata fans just kinda laughed at em and made fun of em.

The second band was just as bad with a better guitarist. The singer was getting pissed at everyone for booing em so he threw a water bottle into the audience and they threw it back and it landed in the drum kit.

Finally after about 2 and a half hour of bad bands and a half hour of waiting. Sonata came on and made it all better. Played alot of new stuff but played some classics. Also played Tallulah which is my favorite power ballad of theirs and Im surprised I have a voice considering I was singing back every word to every song they played. Oh and they ended the set with a crowd pleaser :D Vodka! The greatest chant song ever ^_^ I really wish more Power Metal bands were popular in america and played here. I hate being the only one in this town/area who listens to Power Metal :P

So my tooth decided to wage war on my mouth last night when I woke up from a nap. Yay for Motrin, That should keep me from ripping my hair out till I get a dentist appointment to get this damned wisdowm tooth out of my mouth once and for all.

In other news I am doing alright in the brain area, I'm starting to question my drive in school as of late. I want to do things, But I see work and it seems my brain is just saying "Fuck that, You're going to sleep!" And I dont get shit done. I somehow have a 65 in English since I guess I didnt do homework, Which is kinda BS since I looked at what Im missing and I have most of it, She just never asked for it. I understand though, She has 300 something students and can't keep track that well. But ya, I have a research paper due in February... Shit.. Oh well atleast it's on Chyrnoble (sp?) I figured if the disaster has to do with nuclear radiation it can keep my attention a bit more than hurrican katrina and what not, As much as I would have liked to get a good Bush bashing in there.

Other than all of this I just can't really wait till College. I'm far too over Highschool and just need to be in college now rather than sleeping my way to D's and C's and acctually being able to sleep a bit more and pay attention in a class that im interested in. Im not even sure where I want to go either. Here's my possibilities as I see them:

- The Mount
- Fitchburg State
- Full Sail

Ya. That's right, Im still considering going to Full Sail. Not to sure, I guess my reaction to this research paper is prompting me to rethink my intentions as a writer. Maybe I really do enjoy being around computers enough to work with them. I wish I had more time... Oh well, I gatta get going to school since there is damn snow and my mom is not going to make it there very easily. Later people

Lately I've felt as if my life is a bit like an intense chess game with a Big Ol' Blaise bundel is the prize (Including my future,sanity,dignity,etc...) It felt as if for a short while up till this weekend that I was so close to losing it all. But I realize Im doing nothing but ganing alot more. And I have lot of people to thank for it. Especially anyone I've talked to since Saturday really. Kristina acctually deserves most of the credit, She's been a pretty awesome person all the time, But is totally kicking my ass in the best way possible lately :D

Can't wait for tomorrow and Festival/Boston Globe. Going to be very fun.

So to life I say this to you. Fuck chess. I say we play something that I can acctually win at.

So today was quite interesting.

Harry Potter at midnight last night/this morning. Went very well. THe movie was pretty damn good.

This in turn meant me sleeping for about 2 hours this morning and I think I wore the rattiest clothes I could find this morning :P

Today was my day that I didn't leave E-Wing. Saw the cast list go up. Festival (BG) Shall be awesome this year, very very very good cast this year :D Congrats to all that made it!

After that I spent the rest of my day in the TV studio taping an announcement for yearbook. Long story short. The tape sucked. We tried again, the audio sucked. So we just didn't do it, and now I am going to have to fix it sometime on Monday.

Readthroughs were really great, Ed was a bit choppy and made some of the funniest mistakes imaginable, but he read the part great and I have faith in him for this part.

Well, I have nothing to do tonight, Which kinda sucks. Movie night tomorrow, then nothing again, Then stuff I guess? Man, Im ganna go find something to do. Later all.

Auditions for Boston Globe yesterday.

I think I did alright, I havent really auditioned for anything in a long while so I really just had to absorb what I could from all the great actors/actresses that were there.

Monolouge was intimidating since I hadn't really done one like that before and I kinda just went from what I could. Luckily I was the last to go in my group, but that didn't help too much

Our group was the best though, Me, Sara, Paul, Ian, and Robbie :D

Awesome job you guys, and everyone else for that matter. You guys rock my socks to no end.

Now I must go to school and let my stomach twist and turn some more in anticipation. Later all

So this weekend was most deffinatly kick ass and a half. And thensome :P

Friday I spent up at Fitchburg State with a few newer friends but they are deffinatly cool. We spent alot of the day just walking around FSC and such and then ended up watching Evil Dead 2 and Invader Zim episodes which was fun.

Saturday was great. Hung out with Laura, Aaron, Trisha, and Anna at the mall. Went to Pizza hut to grab food. And then got to play some pool at Masons which was cool. Oh and at Newbury COmics we discovered that I can pull off pink :P NOt so sure hoe I feel about that. Cool though :D

Yesterday was just pure fun. Hung out at Lauras house most of the day. Awesome fucking weekend.

School today wont be too bad. We have a halloween thing for us Ewing kids. and also I get my English project grades back to discover wethrer I pass or fail for the course this term. But yea. I deffinatly did alright with both of them. The writing was probably my best in a long time.

Well, Im off. I need to finsih burning CDs for a friend. See you all at some point most likely :D

Kept myself occupied with photshop FOREVER this night/morn

Decided that I wasnt ganna sleep due to the coffee intake. So I managed to fool around with photoshop for a bit. Then I started becoming more familiar with it. Here's the stuff I came out with. Keep in mind this is all made from scratch other than photos of the people. (With the exception of the first piece which I used a background I had and modified it alot to make the background for my first piece)
